STUDIO WEST PERFUME: IBIZA POWER

“You are never fully dressed without perfume!” ― C. Joy Bell C.

Yes, I m a big fan of quotes and this quote completely relates to me. I love trying new fragrances because I get bored of using the same ones over and over again. Except for some timeless fragrances, I generally don’t repeat perfumes!

Today, I am going to review the STUDIO WEST PERFUME: IBIZA POWER.
Studio west is a new series introduced by WESTSIDE which includes Cosmetics, Fragrances and Bath and Body products.

How I met it
I came across across this product when they were promoting it in Westside. They had made a very attractive display on the cash counter which was definitely eye catching. After trying out few and feeling confused I finally chose Ibiza Power ( I actually had to choose it by doing inky pinky ponky).

About the product
A square shaped bottle with a pink body and yellow cap makes the packaging really attractive. The outer cover is even more exciting which has splashes of bright inks printed on it. The fragrance is allured with topical fruits. It makes you feel fresh and high on energy.

Price: INR1295

Net content: 100ml

My experience
I am a big fan of fruity and floral fragrances. So I love it. The fragrance stays for 4 hours on the skin and a bit longer on the clothes. It’s a total value for money.

Cheers for
Value for money
Attractive packaging
Smells good
Long lasting stay

Boos for
I personally didn’t find anything negative about it so far.
And I am sure you too wont find any once you try it.. So go grab your fragrance soon and do tell us how you liked it.
Till then Browse and Love

Loads of Love,
Chaitali.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick: Review

Hi All, how are you today? I hope you enjoyed reading the last review of The Body Show: Body Mist

Today's review is my current favorite lipstick from the Maybelline Color Show range.
MAYBELLINE recently launched its Color Show Lipsticks in India with more than 25 different shades. These shades are all trendy and super exciting. I have quite a few from this range but today I’ll be reviewing my favorite- Maybelline Color Show Fuchsia Flare.

Coming down to the details:

How I Met It
Well I am color-pink lover ( like every other girl ; wink wink ) and wanted to get my hands on a nice Fuchsia Pink lip shade from really long time. VOILA! finally got hold on my kinda Fuchsia Pink lipstick (And when I say my kinda Fuchsia Pink, I have no precise way to define it).
Maybelline Color Show is easily available in market and online too. I bought it from the Maybelline counter at Central Mall, Pune.

Price: INR 299

Net Wt: 3.6 gm.

Shelf Life: 3 years

  Packing
Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks have simple yet elegant packaging. Its exteriors are black and have a colored band in the middle, which makes it look chic. The color of the bands indicate the shades within. For example, red band indicate that the lipstick within is a shade of red and whereas pink band indicate shades of pink. In short, I love the way its presented. Its travel friendly too.
(Yay Yay)

Talking About Color
Maybelline Color Show Fuchsia Flare is blue based fuchsia pink, which generally suits medium to fair skin tone. The color doesn't look over the top and perks up your face.
I just love such kind of lipsticks.

Swatch

      Texture and Pigmentation
The lipstick is highly pigmented. Single swipe goes a long way. The texture of lipstick is super smooth and it glides like a dream on lips; no lip balm needed.

       Lip Life :)

The Maybelline Color Show lipsticks are very long lasting, as they stay for 3-4 hours without food-breaks and 2 hours approx if you are having something to munch on. After food-breaks the color starts to fade. But the plus point is that it does not settle like a line on your lip.

     Cheers for:
    •    super cute packaging
    •    easily available
    •    highly pigmented
    •    beautiful shade
    •    creamy texture
    •    lip balm not needed
    •    value for money (toothy grin)

    Boos for:
Was not able to find any..!!! Its a Treasure...
Yay Yay (happy dance happy dance)

So the final verdict... <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I loved Maybelline Color Show lipstick and would highly recommend to those who are looking for a decent and budget friendly grab.

I hope you liked the review, many more coming up soon
till then Browse and Love..!!!

The Lacey Affair: DIY

Hey Guys,
Well today's post is a DO IT YOURSELF (DIY) project.
I am a person who loves each and every thing that I own.. be it clothes or accessories or even a simple scrunchy... So when ever I get an opportunity to restyle or renew my things, I am always up for it.
Today we are going to see how to give your footwear a makeover.
My muse is Mary Janes from CATWALK. I had bought these two years back from LIMEROAD. They are super comfy and feet friendly.

And due to the comfort they offer I have used them like crazy... You can see of yourself how much..

But I wasn't done with them yet. So I decided to work on them. Lets see the process..

Firstly, clean your footwear with a dry rag. This ensures that its almost dust-free.
Next, apply a coat of Decoupage glue. This glue is multi-purpose as its water resistant. I have seen people use it while they make paper craft. I bought my bottle from the Venus Traders : Stationery Store. Venus is a well known stationery outlet in Pune. You can also use the Mod Podge Glue which is available on Amazon.in

Initially the surface looks milky. But after drying it becomes transparent. Now just go ahead and color your footwear as per your choice. I have used Acrylic Colors of Camlin company. They are awesome, easy to use and mess free. They dry off pretty soon too. Hence working with them is always a pleasure. The colors that I have used are Black and copper from the metallic range.

These are how they looked after the paint job was done.

And now time for the extra effect. I always wanted to add a bit of lace to my footwear, and I grabbed my opportunity this time.

And again with the help of decoupage glue I stuck the small pieces of black lace fabric on certain parts only. Once the fabric is stuck onto the footwear, apply one more coat of the glue. But this time on the entire surface area.
Let it dry one more time.
And then TADAAAA....

Initially the Mary Janes had a casual touch to them... But they are now all ready for party
Hope you liked this DIY post as much as I enjoyed doing it.
Will soon blog about how we styled them.

Until then Browse and Love...

# Wanderlusting ITALY

Find life experiences and swallow them whole. Travel. Meet many people. Go down some dead ends and explore dark alleys. Try everything. Exhaust yourself in the glorious pursuit of life.
 -Lawrence K. Fish

On this breezy evening I went into a flashback of the summer of 2012.  I thought that this would be the best time to begin my first post with my mesmerizing travel experience.

ITALY!!

My heart was overwhelmed with happy emotions. My dream of setting my foot in Europe was coming true.  It was a big opportunity, I was going for a short term summer course in fashion styling. I took this as a break to travel to as many places as I could. The place just got me awestruck. With every city I went to it just got better and better.

I understood the true meaning of wanderlust after coming back. I had a desire, an unending thought of hitting the road again, an urge to travel to a new land. Places I have never been before and places still left unexplored.

My eyes are full of joy and stunned looking at the beauty again. The pictures I’m putting up are not even one fourth of the memories that I captured in my heart.

The Body Shop's Body Mist Review

HI to all.. This is Akshita Joshi, its my very first review and I am very excited about it. Well as its my first one, so I would like to share something about my self with you all. I am from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Currently living in Pune, Maharashtra. Have done my MBA in Human Resource. I love to shop (am sure every girl loves to) and to visit new places.
GEtting back to the review... today we have with us a body mist by THE BODY SHOP (TBS) and the fragrance that I bought is Japanese Cherry Blossom.

HOW I MET IT
THE BODY SHOP's body mist range was introduced to me by a friend from work. Since then it was on my TO BUY list and finally got my hands on it at the TBS store in Phoenix Market City Mall, Pune. It's available online too.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
THis lightly tinted liquid has an enticing fragrance that is warm and luscious. And the spray is fine and light. The body of the container is made of hard glass, so not that good a travel companion and even more a trouble for people having slippery hands.
I liked the whole packaging, including the beautiful label with the flowers and muted dreamy colors on the stem (its girly and chic ;blush ;blush). It has a small metallic cap over it whose quality is BAD, as it is already started to tarnish.

PRICE

IT is priced INR 995/- for 100ml (OUCH) but it is TBS after all. The best part is that, since I purchased it during the Monsoon Sale and hence got it for INR 600/- only.
 (YAY ...happy dance happy dance...)

MY EXPERIENCE
I am using this mist for quite some time now and I am TOTALLY LOVING IT. The fragrance is super FEMININE and gives me a fresh feel every time I spray it. I have a sensitive skin and luckily it does not irritate my skin. The only problem I face with the mist is its ability to last is very weak, the fragrance lingers hardly for half an hour. I know its too much to ask from a mist, but greedy me, I wish it could linger a bit longer.

CHEERS FOR:
  • The fragrance its heavenly.
  • Packaging.. its a glass bottle but its really cute.
  • Good for sensitive skin.
  • Super feel Fresh factor.
  • Easily available at TBS (in stores and online).
 BOOS FOR:
  • Glass bottle weighs.. a lot.
  • Not a travel companion.
  • Fragrance doesn't linger for long
  • Low quality used for its cap.
  • PRICEY
  •

 WILL I BUY IT AGAIN?
YES I WILL. Its a good product, but this time I would love to try some other fragrance.

<3 <3 <3 three hearts for the THE BODY SHOP's JAPANESE CHERRY BLOSSOM BODY MIST.
